"Bad Day" from DELAYED
Elaine Pechacek

Elaine Pechacek, a Long Island, New York native, attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL where she obtained her B.A. in Music Education with additional post studies in Vocal Pedagogy.  During her years in college she had the honor of playing Bassoon for two years with the popular South Florida Palm Beach Pops Orchestra and two years with the South Florida Youth Symphony. Also during her time in college she had the privilege of touring nationwide two summers with New Covenant Ministries singing lead vocals and playing keyboard. In her years during and following college Elaine has held the position of Music Director with several different religious organizations. She was often called upon and recognized for her contemporary orchestrations of traditional church and hymn music.  Before leaving the Central/South Florida area for two years to work with DWStudios in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elaine performed as a Lyric Soprano with the Lakeland Choral Society and has had the honor of playing significant operatic roles in Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), Pirates of Penzance, and with ensemble Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.  Elaine is currently the owner and operator of Music From The Heart Studio located in Orlando, FL. She coaches a full range of students from professional artists to those just starting their musical journey in not just proper vocal techniques but also in piano, orchestration/song writing, clarinet and saxophone.  In addition to her combined 9 year teaching career, Elaine also works currently as a studio vocalist, musician, and arranger for private recording labels nationwide.   Being a current member of MTNA, and a past member of MENC Elaine has been an advocate for keeping music alive in the lives of young people (and adults) in the Central Florida Community.   In 2008, Elaine  began work on a new musical called,
WHEN. It is an original musical based on the feelings and emotions of a vocal coach.  WHEN is currently in pre-production phases and is slated for a 2012 debut in New York.  Upon completing WHEN, Elaine began work on DELAYED with co-collaborator Katie Hammond.  Elaine and Katie have worked together since August of 2007, and together they have performed several cabarets in the Orlando area over their three year working relationship. Since work began on DELAYED in late 2009, Katie and Elaine have continued working on additional projects including GIRLIE PARTS, a female cabaret song cycle series, and SEASONS, a new full length musical which will be completed the end the 2010.  In keeping with Katie and Elaine's passion for writing, don't think they don't have a third musical brewing with the working title of TEMPS!
